I hired Rusk to inspect a weak AC in my rental unit and paid their $89 fee for a full system evaluation back in mid-June. The technician worked on the outdoor unit but never provided a written report or any follow-up call — just a bill that arrived later with additional charges I had not pre-authorized. After I complained about the several hundred in additional charges that were not pre-authorized with me, they agreed to refund those charges. Notably, there was a bucket sitting under the indoor air handler left by the prior owner unbeknownst to me, a sign of a drain problem, that was never flagged by Rusk despite the "full evaluation."

Around a month and a half after the Rusk service, I received notice that my AC had leaked condensation out of the emergency drain into the bucket, overfilling it and damaging the neighbor's ceiling in the apartment below. I contacted Rusk to see if they would service it, given the drainage issue was missed in their previous evaluation. They initially agreed to come out and scheduled an appointment. Later, though, Rusk contacted my tenant directly, told them they would not deal with it, and gave my tenant the impression that I hadn't paid for the previous service — which was false. The disputed charges had already been credited back to me.

The lack of documentation, the surprise charges, and especially their conduct after the water damage issue arose was very disappointing.

My AC went out today. We called and the technician arrived within a couple of hours. He quickly identified the issue and replaced the part quickly. He was very professional and courteous. We will definitley use them again!

Rusk has consistently delivered outstanding service. Today was no exception. I had a major electrical issue with my furnace right as the cold winter months are approaching. Jared did an excellent job diagnosing the problem, walking me through the details, and making sure everything was fully repaired and running smoothly.
